The Bridging Nations initiative unfolded in Muscat from May 5 to May 10, 2024. The initiative assembled hundreds of participants, guests, artists, young students with special needs and skills. Besides, a little army of volunteers and contributing institutions. Proudly sponsored by Oxy Oman, the Muscat edition was a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity.
Throughout the week, Muscat became a vibrant hub of artistic expression and cultural exchange. Talented artists collaborated with 17 children and young adults with special needs. The teams infused their creations with inspiration from the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. From immersive workshops to enriching cultural experiences, the initiative sparked dialogue, fostered understanding, and celebrated diversity.
The culmination of the initiative was marked by a solemn award ceremony at the French Embassy in Oman. There, standout creations were celebrated and honored by the French Academy. This momentous occasion underscored the significance of art in promoting intercultural dialogue, inclusivity, and sustainability on a global scale. Additionally, the closing ceremony held at Muscat Airport added another dimension to the event. Maestro Alexey Botvinov performed for the first time in the country, enriching the cultural experience for all attendees.
